The Art of Photography has been one of my keen interests since childhood, when I received my first camera at age 10. With skills acquired through a Communication Arts degree ranging from editing film to composition and lighting, this furthered my interest in photography.   I began documenting people and places throughout my travels.  My favorite subjects to photograph are children and through my experience in the classroom as a teacher, I gained an understanding of childhood behaviors.

 I like to encourage children to play and just be themselves while I capture their true personalities. With the birth of my children my interest in photography escalated even more and I began photographing every milestone and special moment !  Through classes and experimenting with family and friends, the business of KARA HENDRICKS PHOTOGRAPHY developed into a unique Art of Photography!
